ARRRGGGHHHHH! MEGAYACHT REALITY TV! I am going to FUCKING LOSE IT HERE! EmmEffing MEGARICH leaches upon working society!

btw, the sad reality is that the ORCA ain’t gonna attract no nautical poontang I am afraid unless they be the Sea Shepard type and I don’t want any of them aboard. I very much doubt that stout vessel has ever seen a bikini aboard her nor ever will unless I pay them to be there which isn’t such a terrible idea come to think of it.

John, you were saying something earlier about celebrating the beheading of David Matsuda? You bring the rum?

Now now now c. As the new owner of a fine yacht you will learn soon enough that money flows from high to low in the boating business. The owner is the only person to NOT make a dime off the damn things.

Before you start trashing those wealthy enough to spend money on megayachts, be thankful they own one. They could spend their money in many ways that don’t do a damn thing for the likes of us. Those “leeches” drop about 11 Billion $ a year into the Fort Lauderdale economy alone. That money employs around 140,000 little people and pays them good wages, good enough to buy boats like your new ride and nice new pickup trucks and all kinds of nice things like groceries and clothing.

There are always going to be rich people, encourage them to spend that money on things that put part of it in our pockets instead of some hedge fund manager or offshore banker. Be careful with that pointy stick, you might put your own eye out.

bite your tongue SIR…the ORCA is no yacht!

this is one area where we will forever disagree. I say now and for the rest of my days that extreme displays of wealth are obscene and smack of the days of the great robber barrons. If you are going to have a toy such as a $500M megayacht, then you can well afford to pay to society and equal amount for the benefit of say sick children in the form of a donation to charity. If you don’t donate the money then you will pay it in tax. Most will choose the charity I am sure especially if they can deduct that contribution but it must be to an approved charity and not some arts foundation. St Jude’s Hospital is one that comes to mind. Is this wrong to expect.

There are always going to be rich people, encourage them to spend that money on things that put part of it in our pockets instead of some hedge fund manager or offshore banker. Be careful with that pointy stick, you might put your own eye out.

I am a dyed in the wool socialist (thanks to my dear ol’ dad) and believe every man should be a king or no man shall. The disparity in wealth distribution in the USA is beyond criminal. The top 1% of Americans hold 40% of the wealth in this country and the bottom 40% don’t even hold 1% of it! It isn’t the yacht, it is the system that allows the yacht or three and six luxury houses in places like Martha’s Vinyard and Vail and racehorses and art and cars and on and on and on forever while single mom struggles as a motel maid and home care assistant and clerk but has to pay for child care herself. THE SYSTEM IS ROTTEN TO THE CORE AND YOU KNOW IT STEAMER MY FRIEND! It is the very wealthy in control of our supposedly democratic government! Watch this video and then tell me how a megayacht truly benefits society? Not a yacht painter or a charter broker or crewmember but society…ALL OF US!

.

Would you be willing to call it a yacht if I showed up with a bunch of strippers and a 5 gallon pail of rum punch?
Because convincing a bevy of exotic dancers to go for a ride on a “yacht” is easy.
They won’t be so ready to accept an invite for a non -“yacht”.
n. $500M for your yacht and $500M for a charity…it is only fair no?
.
That is NOT the way America was set up to be. And it’s not CHARITY if you force someone to give it. I’ve got a plan…you should cut in your OS’s on your day rate. It’s only fair no?

it’s charity if you chose where the money goes and tax if you don’t

also it is deductible if it is called a charity even if you don’t have a choice whether you give it or not

I can call the ORCA the Swingin Playboy Pasha’s Phloating Pleasure Palace but do you honestly see girls like this comin aboard voluntarily without being paid to do so? Not that I don’t want them to because I do, in multiples of 5!

I would consider myself luck to attract this with my smelly old wooden ship…

and believe me that I do not want to see that in a bikini!

.

Girls just wanna have fun, they don’t have to get paid if you are showing them a good time
What is so sad is how many of America’s poor vote for Republicans which is the party of the 1% and who’s policies are directly contrary to their own economic interests .
Economic interests?? Gee, could it be they actually want an environment to produce jobs instead of a welfare check??..Nah…Look what them mean 'ol republicans did to Detroit.

Because I realize that I was breaking my own rule and becoming politically partisan here with that comment about the poor in the US voting for Republicans against their own economic interests, I have deleted it from my earlier post although I still stand by my comments on the wealthy having too much but must clarify that is not just the doing of Republicans. Just about all the Democrats are aboard as well with allowing the rich to become more rich all the time with little to stand int their way and the rest of us to all just palm sand!

Where is a true progressive movement in this country and not just the stoopid Occupy kids? We need a movement that takes in all of society’s strata and age groups. It needs to be more than just in the millions…it needs to be in the tens of millions! Unless this nation fundamentally changes, it is doomed to oblivion but the megarich will have moved their wealth out of the nation so they won’t suffer one bit!

I havent seen a democrat ever lower my taxrates. As it is now the govt takes 1/3 of my pay and redistributes it to LAZY FUCKING SLUGS who sit on their asses all day and do nothing. I dont mind paying my fair share but I do mind it when they take my fair share and give it baby breeding factories.

I also have a very good friend who works on a yacht. She makes good money and earns every penny of it. She is on her way to Nantucket now when her boss hangs out with all of his money making friends.

Apparently that is not even the real crew OR even the real name of the yacht! The real crew wasn’t dramatic enough, so they brought in a bunch of actors.

That’s pretty much the case with all of these “reality” shows, they are all scripted and carefully set up and very little of it is real…

You know it’s not real. It didn’t show one crew member wax on, wax off. Unless the life and death situation was when they accidentally used Turtle wax instead of Canaba
You know it’s not real. It didn’t show one crew member wax on, wax off. Unless the life and death situation was when they accidentally used Turtle wax instead of Canaba
I hear they go into apoplexy if the vacuum lines on the carpet aren’t perfectly straight and parallel!

FUCK THE WHOLE EFFING BUNCH OF THEM!

Come on Steamer…let’s dance!
Come on Steamer…let’s dance!
Ah gee … you know I love megayachts!
Ah gee … you know I love megayachts!
and knowing you makes me surprised that you are SO “in love” with them that you’ve been drinking their brand of KoolAid with so much gusto! They are NOT real vessels! They are as much of a showboat as the BOUNTY was only worth tens of millions but serving no useful purpose other than the fuel the egos of their owners!
… serving no useful purpose other than the fuel the egos of their owners!
And keep yards like Trinity afloat, employ tens of thousands of highly skilled yard workers, electronic technicians, diesel service shops, electricians, travel agencies, painters, designers, naval architects, publishers, photographers, helicopter operators, boating writers, ship managers, insurance agents, T-shirt printers, machine shops, welding shops, hydraulic shops … I could go on for several billion $ worth of little folks worth of purpose right here within 5 miles of where I am sitting.

I can’t think of a better way to redistribute the money the uber-rich have accumulated. Who gives a shit about their egos? They don’t impress me very much, some are nice guys who made a fortune the way you or I would like to and they deserve every penny of it, some are what you think all of them are but not that many of them. As one of those guys who plays in the stream of cash flowing from them to the guy who blows leaves off the lawn of an owner’s winter home, I sign off on where a huge amount of that money goes and it goes to little guys who pay taxes on it and buy their groceries at the local markets and buy their cars at local dealerships.

Step into the Wayback machine for a minute and look at what happened to all the “little people” when the bitter bunch decided to put a “luxury tax” on yachts and airplanes a few decades ago.
