Now: 2 minutes and 17 seconds.

Republican as potus, Democrat as potus, it doesn’t matter much because either way, come summer before election every 4 years, it’s road trip time because the cheap price of gas. From what I remember every setting potus (or his handlers) will orchestrate cheap gas for the election. Lets have this discussion a year from now. I remember a year after Biden was in office 1/5th of the gas pumps I visited has a “I did this” sticker on it.

Not going to be an easy job for the next 4 years.
Cant see any escape other then increase spend to grow the manufacturing and tarriffs to reign in the cash going over seas or subsidize US products to fight cheap imports ( thats a slippery slope but maybe just a year or so would do it)

I predicted this win ages ago and I further predicted he will, oh … what’s the right word, um…‘make America great again’ and ‘make America healthy again’ chucked in as a bonus. We shall see. Let him get his feet under the desk, grab the popcorn and watch the fireworks.
I’m loving it. This is good news for the whole world. Here in Australia, our Lefty lunatic Prime Minister and his many camp followers are busy trawling their old social media posts and Tweets removing all the ones insulting and belittling your president elect. Our ambassador in Washington (also busily deleting) says he will stick it out, but the new president will chuck him out, or possibly freeze him out. His ego will be shattered. All good news.
And best of all, USA will cease trying to tweak the world’s temperature in a century by a poofteenth of a degree at a cost of $trillions (stolen from the poor working classes who raise such sympathy here). Drill, baby drill. Coal is king (great news for a major coal exporter like Australia).
Much more to be positive about. But you all look forward to what’s coming (here I’m referring to that satisfyingly appropriate majority of Americans who elected your new president) and so do I.

The 15 million Americans disproportionately live in the South and low-income communities. Collectively, they have more than $49 billion in outstanding medical bills in collections. This is the CFPB’s second analysis of the changes made by the three national credit reporting companies to reduce the number of medical bills on credit reports. Today’s report follows the start of a CFPB rulemaking that will consider options to restrict the reporting of allegedly unpaid medical bills on credit reports.
Car repossessions are up 24 percent while credit card delinquencies are up about 11 percent. Credit card debt is now up to $1.142 trillion. Google mortgage delinquency rates by state and you will find “Regionally, states in the South and pockets of the East Coast tend to have the highest delinquency rates. For example, Mississippi, Louisiana, and West Virginia are the top three states for both 30-day and 90-day mortgage delinquencies. Other states with high rates of missed payments include Alabama and Arkansas.”

Are those future numbers, numbers from before 2020 or current numbers? Last month when VP Harris was on The View they asked her what she would have done differently than Biden & her reply was, "There is not a thing that comes to mind in terms of – and I’ve been a part of most of the decisions that have had impact, the work that we have done,”. For you to be complaining about the recently released depressing figures that you just posted, maybe you’re not as happy about things as you think?
The middle and lower class problem started with Nixon getting off the gold standard to fund a war and has continued.

May be awhile though. Trump will be inheriting one of the best economies in years for the monied class, just as he did in his first term. He’ll take credit for it again of course but it will buy him some time. If he goes for the increased tariffs he threatened, dismantling the Dept. of Education, Health etc., he’ll quickly destroy what he inherited. I’ll make a prediction. IF he does half of what he threatened to do he’ll not last out his first term. He’ll be found incompetent via section of the 25th amendment [he’s already the oldest one to be sworn in] and JD Vance will take over and that is even more scary though that may have been the plan all along.
Most of the states with the highest rates of eviction are in the bible belt. Should Jesus return they’d crucify him again if he started lecturing as before about caring for the poor, rich men not being able to go to heaven etc.

That’s most likely because those states actually enforce their laws and accept property owners have rights to their properties eg rent, cleanliness, and tenants taking care of it. Why are authorities in some states acknowledging that gangs have taken over apartment buildings by force but don’t even evict the armed gangs?
I predict you’ll be wrong … even if he does everything you’re afraid of. He didn’t fight this hard to cut and run. The 25th amendment isn’t as easy as that. Biden’s a candidate for it right now. He has been for years. Give it a go.

Years ago I asked some of the Tea Party types to imagine this. There is something like a neutron bomb that would explode over the USA and take out everyone that didn’t look like you do or you think like you would your family would be better off, financially and other wise? Most said no but I’d feel better.
The 25th Amendment won’t be necessery. Biden is President and currently enjoys near absolute immunity. Trump won’t be walking out of the WH meeting on Wednesday.
Will it look like an accident?
There were certain values I was raised to believe that were the foundation of a person’s character. Honesty, compassion, empathy, integrity, equitable business dealings, meeting one’s obligations, honoring your oaths, vows, and promises
I always thought these were values that Americans believed in, values Americans admired and hoped for in themselves and in their leaders.
It seems however, most of our fellow Americans were willing to overlook the lack of character in their chosen leader. It appears that a few cents more a gallon or a few dollars more a week in groceries were enough to set those values aside.
We have shown the world and ourselves what we are.
