As profound as it is prevalent. (In both parties).
A liberal who I mostly disagree with on politics but like personally & enjoy listening to is James Carville. The day after the election he came out swinging at the Democrat Party & blames the landslide lose on far left extreme woke’ism. Another liberal influencer that I like is John Stewart. His politics 50/50 sucks imo but I think he isn’t playing games, he’s sincere in his beliefs & does alot for veterns & 9-11 first responders. His post election comment was, “Fuck Me. Fuck Us. We Democrats read the population wrong”. I used to like liberal Bernie Sanders & he has doubled down on his statement that the Democrat Party has turned it’s back on the working class. Yesterday, the liberal Washington Post Editorial Board claimed Democrats lost somewhat because the Democrat establishment repeatedly lied to us about Bidens mental decline & many felt Democrats couldn’t be trusted. Considering Trump won all seven of the margin of error swing states & the popular vote, I think all of these liberal influencers are correct. Then I read comments from the liberal forum members on gCaptain & I just shake my head. The gig is up. There’s no one to try to convince. Comparing the inflation price of tea in China to the inflation price of tea in the US is meaningless. No one cares, we care about how much our eggs & rent costs here in the US. I know there’s good neighborhoods & towns where people don’t lock their front doors but we don’t care. Most working class people don’t live in those neighborhoods. Working class people are concerned about our open sothern border. Out of touch liberals is what caused the Red Wave that brought DJT back into power. Denying it isn’t going to help the Democrat cause one bit, denial will do more harm than good. Carville, Stewart, Sanders & WP Editorial Board are on the right path to help the Democrats bounce back. Trying to sugarcoat inflation, open borders, Russia in Ukraine again, Americans hostages killed by Hamas in Gaza, a POTUS who clearly has Alzheimers etc. makes liberals look dumb.

I have read where people “boasting” about the drop in the number of illegals coming into the country. Right. Ten million are already here, ain’t nobody left to immigrate. As for the immigrants that “walked” to the US. Well over 2,000 miles to the US. Rough guess but walking 20 miles a day, we are talking a 100 day “walk”. And parts of the Isthmus of Panama have some very bad jungle. Then there is the matter of carrying enough food and water plus if you have small children, they can walk that far? I smell a rat.
The Raging Cajun is a smart guy. Been in game a long time and knows his business. He did say he felt like Harris was going to win Tuesday morning. I’ll give you Stewart and trade you Maher for Bernie. Bernie would bankrupt us. People need to work. You never see a lazy farmer…
According to your numbers the Biden administration did a better job at the border than Trump. What are you complaining about?
We all know the reason, trying to blame it on the president in this case is idiotic.
Why? They’re at a “22 year high”, you know what the means, right?
If you want an open border, you are correct. Most don’t. Most would like to know who is coming into the country. Most would like a secure border. A safe border. Most want things to return to some semblance of law where our sovereignty is concerned.
So this is the war in Ukraine, Covid fallout, global demand market correction argument? Nothing to do with Biden’s energy policies? Really?
It means that 22 year high mortgage rates price people looking to own a home, further away from that goal. It means big finance profits go up. It means the less fortunate pay higher rents. It means VCs can but large swaths of real estate and increase profits at the expense of the dreams of Americas youth.
Phoenix you tell me that you wish I would fuck off and die yet have my posts removed because I call you Pumkin.
Is censorship on your list of positives along with high inflation and a deny reality defensive strategy?
I apologize for referring to you as Pumkin. I was wrong. You’re not a Pumkin. You’re a patriot. A hero for all that is good in the fight against a terrible enemy. A champion of for all, a beacon for safety. Be well.
Phoenix I was being sarcastic in case you cannot track.
Republicans are on the verge of winning the House. Its coming. It’s all but a certainty. You must be seething knowing that your enemy will soon control the Executive branch, both branches of Congress and the US Supreme Court. Couple that with immunity from the corrupt USSC and him not having to worry about his political approval could equate to unfettered power. A dictator if you will. You must be feeling utterly despondent. I want you to know I take no pleasure in your sufferance. None at all. I am not the least bit happy that you personally lost and are most likely triggered by the uncertainty to come. I am as emphatic as you would be for this injustice. Your loss? Came in epic fucking proportion by the way.
I was wrong to post the above in this forum. I am typically better in my posts and I apologize. Phoenix believes his ends are morally superior and the means necessary to achieve them are justified. If being rude, acrimonious, attacking an opposing view and saying hateful things advances this. He will do it. I should not have subjected all of you to my personal antipathy of this behavior. Even if I feel he deserves it, the members of this forum do not. I was wrong. And for this, I am sorry.
You are now unburdened by what has been.
PS: I’ve had my posts edited in “cute” ways by scumbag mods on here before. Their playbook is always the same, muh censorship.
But only just a semblance. Some of us know that the definition of semblance is “the appearance or apparent form of something, especially when the reality is different.”
The reality is the law and order crowd has become blind in one eye and myopic in the other.
yet USA has to keep borrowing money to keep the lights on…
“Woke” appears to be a popular word in politics these days, but appears to have different meanings for different people.
So what the h’ll does it ACTUALLY mean? Here from Oxford Learner’s Dictionary:
Merriam-Webster Dictionary has again updated it’s definition (or several version):
Than for the long(-winded) explanation:
Source: When did woke become a four-letter word? : UMass Magazine
PS> To me and most people in S.E. Asia, this is the meaning of Wok(e):
We don’t have an open border and according to your numbers THEY’VE STOPPED MORE CROSSINGS THAN TRUMP DID.
Basically. More accurately it was corporate greed. Profits suffered under COVID lockdowns so once people started driving again they gouged prices to recoup.
What Biden energy policy do you think caused the oil companies to make record profits for a while post pandemic? You know gas prices are back down now, right?
Sure, but it also means that back when “America was great” mortgage rates were much higher yet it wasn’t a problem.
I didn’t have any of your posts removed.
What are you rambling on about? Man you’re delusional.
Both sides fail to recognize the problems of working people both college educated and not. The economy has been shifting for many years towards the wealthy. When the MAGA movement first started I was thinking, Great we can undo some damage to the economy due to legalizing stock buy backs which were made legal in 1982 under Reagan. Prior to 1982 they were considered a form of stock price manipulation. Since then CEOs got their pay tied to stock prices and used buy backs to pad their pocket when they could have used that money to expand or improve their business. Look at Boeing, among others to see how that worked out. I also thought maybe MAGA meant going back to Glass Stegal which Clinton did away with that allows investment banks to gamble with FDIC money. Results? The housing crash of 2008. I thought MAGA meant increasing the federal minimum wage which has not been increased since 2009. But there has to be someone to blame for the rich getting richer and everyone else going sideways or downhill. Immigrants are an easy target as the illegal ones have few rights. Maybe one party would come out and call to actually jail employers who hired illegals? Never happened. But you got to give them an enemy and it can’t be your own constituency on either side. They remembered what the 36th president said. Back in the 1960’s Lyndon Johnson said, “If you can convince the lowest white man he’s better than the best colored man, he won’t notice you’re picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he’ll empty his pockets for you."
Both sides played that tune one just did a better job.
That is a choice, not a necessity. You can argue the wisdom of that choice (with somebody else) but it is a choice nevertheless. The budget was balanced under Clinton and it could be again if the political will is there.
If you are blaming the current administration for the budget defecit you should know that:
And furthermore:
In 1950 a gallon of gas cost $0.27. Corrected for inflation, that would be $3.53 cents today. I just paid $2.89 to fill up my car. We have the cheapest gas in the 1st World.
