Speaking of a “Little Americana” in Norway, this year it is 200 years since the first organized emigration from Norway to North America:
An event like that can’t be allowed to go unnoticed, thus a replica of the Restauration will make the same voyage this year.
The expedition will leave Stavanger next Friday (4th of July), with the Royal family waving them goodbye and fair winds on the crossing.
They will reach New York City in Oct. presumably with many with Norwegian roots there to welcome them.
