Your bed went boom, you needed a new bed post

nah…it’s gotta be a Browning .30cal machine gun to mount on Rebel’s new deuce and a half
ok, maybe just a spare barrel but it’s a good start
btw…great thread to that Reb! Good on ya mayte!
By the looks of the box I would say a .223 of some sort, with as collapsible stock. But knowing you you just got home from work and how enthusiastic you are it must be something to further your career… Hmmmmmm. What could it be?

A pointy stick, of course
Cappy, you and c.captain have more green thingies under your names than Idi Amin had medals.
Russian M91/30 rifle made in 1942. With POINTY stick on the end!!! $99.00 bucks at Fleet Farm. Came with two pouches, bayo, cleaning kit,oil bottle and sling. Covered in gunk. Hopefully, I’ll get a chance to shoot it before I go back. Out of the box it needs, trigger work and some polishing on the bolt so it runs smoother.
Shoots 7.62x54R. 440 rounds = $80 bucks or so.

Ps. Belt fed .30 is later.

I think cappy and I are now neck and neck in the medal count but once the judges see my floor exercise the competition will be over!

Ah a Mosin-Nagant pointy stick eh?
Just imagine those miserable Red Army dogs fighting the Germans with their antiquated bolt action rifles in the snow and frigid Russian winter! Did the Soviet Army ever get a semi automatic standard issue rifle for its foot soldiers in WWII? Gotta give the US Army credit for the M1 Garand.

At least the Russians had winter gear. They had several semi-autos during WW2. Never produced in numbers needed. The Japs also had a semi-auto toward the end but never produced in numbers.
I have a nagant made by Westinghouse. Also a model 28-30 made in Finland.
That be one hell of a can opener. You may just have raised the bar for ‘pointy stick’ understanding.
