U.S. Intelligence Report

What is your definition of a “conservative”? It may be very different than mine.

I believe those who fomented or supported the insurrection should be imprisoned, lose any government pension they might have, and be prohibited from ever holding any elective office or participating in any manner of political activity for the rest of their lives.

Fine with me, provided the same goes for the Antifa/BLM insurrectionists.

I feel the same way but that will never happen. The ultimate double standard.

LOL! Did they actually catch one of those? That’s funny. What’s his/her name? With over 400 arrests, I’d only heard about William Robert Norwood III. He’s the Trumpster that dressed up like an ANTIFA guy.

Silly me, I forgot to include that I was talking about all the rioting and insurrections that happened all last summer. I forgot that “principled conservatives” such as yourself didn’t see any issues there. I should have been more specific.

Lots to unpack here.

Yes. You really should have.

The only thing in common was the violence. Apples to oranges. Might want to check on the meaning of insurrection. Also the idea of federal supremacy.

“Well, there you go again.” You should really lay off these labels that you don’t seem to understand. I have self-identified as a moderate/centrist on at least 2 or 3 occasions . Never as a conservative. On that at least, you should probably just take my word. As regards the attribution of motives not based on facts, just don’t do that. You’ve managed to equate a complete lack of interest with acceptance.

I never said that I was affiliated with Principles First. I’m aware of them because of my interest in third parties. You should know them if you are at all interested in conservatism.

The Telecommunications Act of 1996 allowed 6 companies to take control of 90% of the media. We criticize Big Pharma but we cant question Big Media?

I think if America falls behind in the next decade, media will have a large part due to the fact that poor performance is not punished or good performance is not praised.

It will take far longer than the “next decade” to even begin to slow the decline we have experienced over the past 40 to 50 years. We have been in a self induced “behind” for more than a generation.

Out of curiosity I checked them out, they are just the Lincoln Project with a different name.

I’m more of a Rand Paul type.

Interesting that the ‘principled conservatives’ all have 6 figure tax liens against their homes. I’m sure that has nothing to do with them begging for donations to oppose Trump though.

Just for grins I’ll ask again …

Wanna provide some citations:

  1. to support your amusing claim about “principled conservatives” and tax liens
  2. to support you amusing claim about the number of courthouses burned
  3. a definition of a “principled conservative”

The federal courthouse in Portland was set on fire multiple times, there’s hours and hours of video of that from multiple angles. If you’re going to deny that you’ll deny IRS records too. The tax problems of the Lincoln Project people are a matter of public record.

As far as the definition of a principled conservative goes, let’s go with not comparing losing an election to the Holocaust or implying God must want women raped as you have done over the past few days.

People tend to believe things that confirm what they already believe and/or what comes from trusted sources.

However In this case or with the Mueller report for example anyone can also go directly to the source and read the actual report and compare that to what’s being said on various media sources.

That’s very true. Some of the easiest steps we can take to slow that decline are to

  • secure the borders from unrestricted illegal immigration
  • bring manufacturing back to the USA and quit allowing other countries to basically have their way with us in regards to import/exports
  • balance the budget
  • stop getting involved in foreign entanglements like Iraq/Afghanistan
  • stop sending US tax dollars to countries that hate us
  • stop treating the Bill of Rights like trash

Perhaps you need a reminder of your own claim a few days ago:
“federal courthouses attacked, burned”

CourthouseS is plural, you claimed multiple courthouses were burned.

I understand that the extreme right wingers are frightened of losing what they see is control, frightened of free and open voting, and frightened of a changing world in general but when those who take it on themselves to represent that group resort to easily disproven lies and almost amusingly preposterous scenarios like the pizza parlor thing it doesn’t help anyone.

The mentality of those who follow that path is the same path that led to a long list of nations that fell victim to totalitarian rule and eventual complete destruction. A philosophy based on lies can only lead to that which its followers fear most.

Seattle and Philadelphia as well. These events were well documented and attempting to claim they didn’t happen is absurd. This isn’t about the truth though. This is about attempting to realign reality with your viewpoint. Once your request for sources is granted you’ll just slink away, find another narrative and claim we were always at war with Eurasia.

Courthouses are the buildings people remember, but there was a lot of small businesses hurt.

Here’s the documentation for Portland: Notice the location of the fire.

Apparently the news media of all political persuasions missed the burning of the Seattle courthouse.

And please note, those riots were in essence, race riots, they were not part of a left wing insurrection. The only insurrection and attempted coup against the American government occured on January 6, 2021. It was a right wing extremist attempt to overthrow the US government by murdering the vice president and speaker of the house. It resulted in the deaths of at least 2 federal police officers. Is this the right wing version of law and order or simply the path toward ordnung?
