PS>In 1989 I was involved with setting two world records for heavy lifts with the same SSCV (then as Micoperi 7000).
The first was the heaviest inshore lift done by a floating crane at 10800 m.t (Veslefrikk jacket in May 1989)
The second was the heaviest offshore lift; the Gyda jacket at 8500 m.t. in Sept. 1989.
I was Tow master for Micoperi, in charge of towing the 600’ transport barge from the building yard and deliver it under the cranes for lifting.
