SSCV Sleipnir

The world’s biggest Semi-submersible Crane Vessel (SSCV) Sleipnir has arrived off Gibraltar for refueling of LNG, crew change and stories after delivery voyage from Singapore, where she was built, via Cape of Good Hope:


She is now off Israel to commence her first job on the LEVIATHAN OIL FIELD

But it is not likely to stay very long since more and heavier jos are on the cards.

SSCV Sleipnir has performed it’s first platform decommissioning job in the North Sea:

Heerema installed the Ekofisk 2/4A platform and topsides in the 1970s.

SSCV Sleipnir is earning it’s keep. It has completed the Brent A jacket removal and delivered it to Vats:
