Rumors of GOL
Damn I’m getting a job in the sales department then!
Good salesman make plenty of money and never have to pay for anything. But when the markets down a salesman couldn’t give away boats and are usually the first on the chopping block. But in good times I envy the sales guys! lol

Not sure how many vessels it takes to be big but GulfMark has over 90 vessels…

Dino Chouest did buy the GOL dock in Slip B. GOL did not as of yet sell any of their vessels.

I have heard from several sources of the last few days that Harvey Gulf has signed a letter of intent to purchase GOL. Sounds like they will keep the bigger vessels and sell off the rest in package deals presumably. Owner of GOL (Joel Broussard) has been wanting out of the business for quite some time now. If this is indeed true that deepwater market is consolidating quite quickly amongs vessel operators. This will give Harvey well over 40 OSV’s I believe and the number 3 player behind Chouest and Hornbeck.

We’ll see what happens.
The scuttlebutt said is wasn’t Harvey, but Dino Chouest had a check in his hands to buy the larger GOL boats and some/all of their Fourchon dock spaces. I wont believe anything until I see it.

Also just in, ECO is paving their office with gold bricks, a free Cadillac to every employee, and Ice Cream machines on all the boats…
I would love to see the ice cream machine, cause god knows Chouest isn’t coming out with a raise anytime soon…

Are you’ll working the Constitutio
