These really annoying pop up ads are destroying the utility of the forum. The forum seems to be dying out anyway. These pop up ads are really going to kill it.

Is it a cash grab or is it a way to keep the forum alive?
I certainly agree they are a P.I.T.A…I am bloody sick of having a Garmin ad pop up over and over even to the point where they block the text box when writing.
Does Garmin even serve the commercial market? Who do they expect to be selling to here?

Thought the same thing. It’s really annoying.
The moderators are able to choose the frequency and how intrusive the ads are. Maybe they need tweeking

Just run Ublock on Firefox, you’ll rarely see ads. I do that for YouTube and don’t get any ads there at all, the one downside is that I’m not signed in so it doesn’t save my data to sell, and it doesn’t keep my watch history.

These Ads probably keep this site up. I think it’s dieing a slow death with less
interesting Maritime content and the Owner MIA.
