What’s with this bar across the top that blocks me from searching topics?
What’s up with this all of these pop up ads?
A few years ago the owner of the site replied to a couple of critics & went over some of the financials of gCaptain Forum. He said the forum side mostly ran in the red in spite of the hardwork of his team & trying several different money generating strategies. It was my understanding he paid for the forum out of dedication to his industry, maybe as a hobby or prehaps out of goodwill toward fellow mariners. Who knows? But if ads on my screen keeps the lights on then I’m fine with it.

I had the same problem, but figured out that if you drag up on the Second line where the search symbol is, it all works again (on iOS). Not sure exactly what the issue is though.

Yes, I understand that, but we’ve recently gone from some ads to overwhelming ads.
Use Firefox with Ublock Origin on it, no ads that way
