Then I’d end up with psycho squirrels. They might start gnawing on the foundation and collapse the whole house on me.
Back before I had so much time on my hands I would have just put some hardware cloth over my attic vents and been done with it.

I owned a Chesapeake Bay Retriever for 14 years. Best dog I ever had but screens meant nothing to him, might as well have been rice paper. Good luck with your Bear. 
Black Bear keeps the squirrels at bay, or so she thinks. I think the varmints tease her, although she has “captured” a few over the years. Not many. We do have one that doesn’t have a tail nesting in the Magnolia tree, perhaps a “Near Miss”.
Enjoyed that video KP Chief. My Father in law went to great extents to outsmart them. Tough job. Wish my bear was as smart as those creatures, we would be winners on AGT.
