The dead give away was when he said in 1 1/2 weeks he had received a letter of recommendation from a chief that secured him a higher paying position on a better ship. What type of GOM company is he supposed to be working for? Usually that kind of stuff is handled by HR, the captains & managers of each vessel. If it was that easy, why was the spot available & why didn’t he ask for a letter of recommendation to be switched to the more comfortable, better paying spot last hitch or a year ago?
This thread is entertaining but it would have been better if eyeofthestorm would have came back with an update saying he tried on some of the clothes & he now likes to crossdress too. Or maybe reported that the CE planted the clothes in eyeofthestorm’s locker & started the rumor that it was actually eyeofthestorm who was the crossdresser. Both of those yarns would have been more believable than the “we all lived happily ever after” pay raise story.
