MMC Question

When filling out my application for my MMC, there is a spot for me to sign under the Oath. Directly below that there is another line for a USCG Officer to sign as a witness to the Oath. It says they must be present. Do I need to go to a CG base and ask a random Officer or what? I live in Jacksonville, FL and am retired Navy so I can go to Mayport if needed.

Thanks,
Chris

I did my original at the local MSO.

Hey Chris,

I believe it is written on the application, or online, but you can get a notary to sign it. I got it signed, and notarized, at the TD Bank in Mandarin about a month ago.

Good Luck,

Thanks, I’ll get a Notary to sign it.
