Hello, does anyone have any pro’s and con’s on IBU’s insurance. I have a couple of friends that work their and love the job but have not used their insurance yet. I have a child that requires quite a bit of health care, so insurance is the most important benefit to me.

I’d be curious how long they take to kick in. Hopefully not 90 days worked (six months doing even time) like the SIU.
I was told it would be 90 days from start date. Shouldn’t be a problem I will still have coverage from my current job. I have 60 days shore leave so will be on payroll for over 4 months and keep my existing insurance.
