Finally got around to reading up on this forum… Wow. Chief, I took your advice and read up on priaprism, it says that it’s caused by a disease, trauma, or overinjection of chemicals used to correct impotence.
I have a suggestion, how about instead of giving out SPOT messengers you give out homebrew kits. I’m sure your popularity would increase exponentially.

The reason is that most of us here at gcaptain are better ship handlers than programers. If you happened to have ever sailed with me you’d be suprised it loads at all 
Does it hang up at one specific point (like when editor si tryin to load) or do you just get a blank screen?
Logging in removes most of the ads… does that help speed things up for you?
I can’t join you guys on the water as my Peterbuilt, hasn’t sold yet…But I check gcaptain from the truck…I too have slow loading problems…The main page seems to go okay…But when I go to the forum it takes a long time to load…It’s always been worth the wait though…

It was not intended to be advice. I was merely pointing out a spelling error and somehow the conversation digressed to this subject. I do appreciate you taking the time to educate yourself, as awarness is the first step to acceptance. Those of us afflicted with this terrible disease live our lives in a constant state of akwardness and humiliation. Public pools and fitness centers, a source of pleasure for healthy and, dare I say, normal Americans, can be a traumatic experience for me and my brethren. If I told you about the encounter at my last occupational health physical you would be horrified. (by the way CMA, Priapism, only one “R”)
John, It’s slow even when logged in, It’s just slow as if there is so much different stuff on the page that it takes too long to load it - that’s just my impression, not a technical fact. I do have cookies on and other settings that should make it go faster, I think. It’s good now cuz I’m ashore;-) Keep up the good work!!
Yes, the “R” factor rears it’s ugly head yet again. It is important to remember that the word ends in “pism”. A “prism” is what they used at Cheng’s last physical to get an indirect peek at his “pism”. Direct views cause widespread panic.

Ok, it’s not a perfect solution but I have put little orange boxes next to post titles which usses RSS to bring you a stripped down version of the post content. This should load fast for everyone. You will, however, still need to visit the actual post to add a comment. Details can be found HERE.

In the past when I edited my comments I could scroll up to previous comments from other users while editing. Now the only thing that opens when editing are my comments.I am old and sometimes I need to look at what caused me to edit.
Other than that, kudos to you and your team.
Cheng it sounds like you have the editor maximized. click the farthest right icon on the lower toolbar, it looks like a computer monitor. That should do the trick.
