An extra $25 per day may help defray some of the unpaid travel expenses, but it’s not much of a reason to start waving the pom poms.

Wow a 3.4% raise roughly? Thats just over cost of living and not to mention the 2.2% payroll extra tax that will be coming out of your salary in 2013!

I work at Moran in NY. AB’s are at $306/day, AB/Tankerman $346/day and Barge Captains (still haven’t seen that endorsement or license on the NMC’s website) are making $499/day. All three get an additional $50/day for travel.
