Wow a 3.4% raise roughly? Thats just over cost of living and not to mention the 2.2% payroll extra tax that will be coming out of your salary in 2013!
Don’t blame my boss for higher taxes, we all know who’s fault that is.

A.B tankerman, @ reinauer is 408.00 plus 50, on an atb. Licensed chief is 521.00 plus 50, mate is 526.00 plus 50 Our contract is up july 1st, hopefully the kirby mergers dont effect us to bad.

Our contract is up at the same time. Should get interesting. Hopefully I’ll be on an OSV by then and just be a bystander.

It’s not extra tax as much as the rates are reverting back to the previous levels. You wouldn’t have to pay so much SS tax if they extended to employees making more than $110k… For example, a baseball player making $1million only pays SS tax on $110,000.

You know it’s not an actual tax raise, I know that too, however it was a reduction in OASI for the purpose of winning an election and never should have been done in the first place. SS tax for 2012 was raised to 113,000of income, not 110,000. As for paying more because i make more blow it out your exhaust stack. I will not get into the reason SS is in the shape it is but it isn’t because of me.

I don’t want to read about taxes . This is a happy subject " raises " why you guys trying to bring me down

Because they are grumpy old salts

I heard it was $25 a quarter for 4 quarters. By the end of the year that would be around an 12% raise. Heck, I would take the $25 a day now but will not cry if I don’t get one.

Dude, I am not the one that started this tread…about $25! Anyways, good luck to you, I am glad it made you happy.

The Company’s first two new Jones Act MPSV commitments will be based on the HOSMAX 310 design
Currently evaluating whether to exercise next two options for additional HOSMAX 320 OSVs or build additional MPSVs
OSV Newbuild Program #5 and 200 Class OSV Retrofit Program remain in-line with prior cost and delivery date guidance

I have to admit, I’m happy they are building a few more vessels, but I wish they would have exercised a higher number. They could have built 44 more, why do you think they decided to only build a few more? The rumor was if Rommey won, all 44 would be built, do you think the election affect on this decision? I’m not trying to make this an all political question, I just wondering if Obamas stance on drilling was the reason to not exercise the other options. It sounds like they got a good price per vessel.

I was told that the door is still open…

Is the 15th the final day? It seems like for them to add 4 vessels, then 4 more vessels, then boom… 40!
not rumour but fact. Harvey osv’s got $25/officer, $12-15/crew per day on last pay check.
