Hornbeck is giving raise

Starting may 1 hormbeck officers getting 150-200 a day raise. Any other companies starting yet?

Who told you that? Other companies have already given out their raises and Hornbeck has to as well because of all the people they are losing, AB/QMEDS are dropping like flies around here nothing but orange hats. Dayrate amounts are pure speculation until this morning/afternoon when they come down to Fourchon.
Your numbers are probably accurate though, everyone is expecting a very large increase based on what others are paying and they would have to be similar to Chouest’s new rates for officers and Harvey’s rates for ratings to stem the flow of people walking off.

My best guess;

$100 for limited license officers
$150-200 for unlimited
$50-80 for AB and Qmed

The last word we got from the office was a ‘deadline’ of may 1 for ‘very competitive’ raises with no numbers given.
And ‘new and improved’ template etc etc, and finally that they were coming down to the boats Monday.(today)

It would be nice if all of these GOM OSV raises would head east and infect the tug fleet.

I haven’t heard the numbers yet. VGM doesn’t visit us until noon time today.

Is that accurate Wheel Wash? I know ECO gave one pf that size…

Well keep us posted. It would be nice if them numbers were accurate. PS…enjoy your extra day off

Wished it weren’t true.

Otherwise, you’d miss half your hitch.

I’ll bet money we’ll be at the dock on Wednesday

Pure speculation until this afternoon, the last word from the office on an amount was “competitive” and a deadline of before May 1 was set.
And that they will be leaving Covington and coming down to Fourchon to visit the boats today.
That tells me well know an amount today and effective may 1st.

IF they really want to be competitive they need to exceed or match Chouest and Harvey.
Something like $150-200 for unlimited licenses, $100-150 for limited, $50-100 for AB and QMEDs
Would be nice. I’m sure people will post exact amounts later today or this week.

This is not quite accurate, the amount is about right -depending on license and position and the effective date is today, not May 1.
Unlimited licenses are now paid more than limited, the raise was across the board as promised and very generous.

Our VGM will be here today. I’ll believe it when I see it.

Believe it or not buddy its already in effect. Our VGM, Devin, Andy, and the other guys from the office came down to port Fourchon yesterday and gave us the news in person from boat to boat.

Change the title to Hornbeck gave raises. It’s a done deal. They beat out what’s on the table at the other mud boat companies easy. I’m betting some of the dollar chasers that left are rethinking that decision.

Can’t blame a guy for doing what’s best for his family and himself though, the pay was a little bit on the low end for a while there especially for ratings who got skipped last go round. I would have been happy to be around the same or even close to the same as the other companies but yeah I’ll take more…

How much is the new daily rate for HOS? Congratulations guys.

Curious to know myself if any of the HOS guys want to share that info. What’s the pay scale for officers now?

It’s good enough that Gary, Otto and Shane have nothing to tempt me with now. Signing bonus doesn’t mean squat either. I haven’t even heard a high end rumor for where I’m at now. We are closer to figures I’ve heard discussed for drill ship crews.

pay is over 700 a day for a mate with dp and oceans…

How about engrs?
