Call the front desk at ECO and the secretary can give you that information.
Loop boats …
Thanks! Any info on the Loop Responder?
Voith Schneider design tug/assist vessel. Main job is escorting tankers in and out of the LOOP as well as towing them (pulling them tight while hooked up to their mooring) if conditions warrant. Never been on it but have known some people who have.
Clint is a newer coordinator but a good guy. Lots of locals in the LOOP division, kinda its own little world. Like any other division, it is what you make of it. Do a good job, try to avoid the inevitable “boat envy” with all these new builds running around and advancement will happen.
The loop boats work mainly 7 on 7 off.
They work a lot of schedules. One guy on the lifter does 21/21, the rest of captains work 28/14. Most of the responders crew is the same. Some of the locals do work shorter though, including 7/7
I worked in the LOOP field for 7 years. Worked on the Loop Responder it is a great boat to work on. Voiths are easy to learn. The crew accommodations were good. When I was there they all kinds of schedules to work. And crew change & groceries were on tuesdays.
Rover, thanks for the input. I worked on the Taner 'liq years ago as a PMI cadet, and like the Voith system. Just asked for a transfer off the Carolyn and am looking for a new home…
Heard there might be another destination for you…at least another option there has been some discussion about.
I only heard about the Responder and took it. FFN is toxic…
