Bouchard Transportation

I have been hearing rumors about Bouchard.
Is it really true that the turnover is really bad in that company??
No one stays at that company that long…is it really true???

Everything you read is true. Some people last a long time but most don’t.

I smell a troll.

Yes Morty that is true. A lot of us Professionals wouldn’t be caught dead at your company!

Most of us know personally or through evening radio chatter that this reputation is both well deserved, and keeps the ‘rifraff’ in equilibrium.

Your drunken rants, and psychotic babbling make Bobby seem sane and level headed. It is too bad YOU own the company.

I don’t understand why some guys stay with you for years, only to quit in frustration. Oh yeah, re read the previous line!

Some of the guys at your company stay out of desperation. Other because you pay so well. Heck even whores know the value of a dollar! Some stay because you do have excellent equipment. But NO ONE stays out of respect for you. Must be nice to be so narcissistic and myopic (oh yeah you being a millionaire helps with that) Try joining the guys who actually do the job for you (sober)!

Why do you have such a stellar reputation for leading by bullying, embarrassing, and ridicule? You sound like a little Napoleon complex to me. Too bad you have money to fulfill your ambitions.

You want a fact? here’s one. Last summer the whole southern fleet was told they had to do 6 and 3. Why? It surely was NOT because you were full up with crew was it? NO. It was because you were short, and couldn’t find help. Why not? Be honest. Life sucks when your personal Rose Garden is full of thorns, huh.

This is from gCapt. job board with their own company “profile” … I don’t see anything about crew/employees ??? Last sentence explains that. Customers can look to the companys website for info and history, but you think they would “taylor” their company profile here with something a little more appealing than “me me me…”

I’m no hot shot, or trying to dist them, just pointing something out.

Bouchard is a total service oil barging company. We are the only barge company in New York State with 24-hour office service, year round. Since our incorporation in 1918, progressive thinking and a strong commitment to service has fostered Bouchard’s continued growth and greater recognition. Today, we stand firm by our founding father’s original philosophy that, in order to best serve our customers, we must stay abreast of the times and industry’s changing needs. While increased regulations and modern technological advances within our industry have affected change among our competitors, Bouchard remains ahead, both in its application of these advancements, and its greater commitment to the petroleum industry. Our fleet is faster, larger and better equipped than ever before. We’ve upgraded our barges with hot oil systems to maintain the loaded temperature of the cargo through voyage and discharge time. This new heating system greatly reduces downtime and product loss while increasing efficiency. We’ve overcome the obstacles by applying sound fiscal judgment and foresight. When towing costs became too great, we built our own tugs, which provided our customers with a more cost-effective service. After World War II, when the nation began the transition from coal to oil, our company too made the change. Now, as the energy industry goes through a period of even greater change, Bouchard continues to look toward the future with progress and adaptation in mind. Through the years, however, two things will always remain constant-our commitment to our customers, and a strong corporate identity founded on a legacy of barging experience and a fervent family pride.

the good thing about having worked at bouchard is that after that joint, well hell, every place is else is just a candy land. you no longer fear hell, for you have been a bouchard employee.

I think Capt Schmidt hit the nail right on the head. Morty probably had one of the secretaries make up an account here, and had them post this to see what was going to be said about his company.

(Now here is where the answer to the OP comes in)

Morty will probably FIRE the secretary after he reads these responses. He seems to be a shoot the messenger type of guy, instead of actually figuring out what the problem is. I could just imagine what the Bouchard risk assessment and post accident investigation program consists of! “You’re Fired!”

“Blood Money”

I know for a fact that crew has to payout of pocket for launch service when disembarking for leave or provisions and are not reimbursed.

It was a very pricey place to work, 300-400 for a flight then 100 or so for a launch, then you get to work at the happiest place on the water
