Will this stop me from obtaining a mates license?

When I was 17 I was honorably discharged from the Navy after refusing antabuse treatment for my “alcoholism”.
I was not then, nor am now an alcoholic but was flunking out of my A - school and it was my way out after 176 days of service.

I am not officially considered a veteran since my service was less than 180 days.

I’m now considering upgrading from AB Unlimited to 3rd Mate Unlimited.
Am I screwed?

No you are not.

You should be good. Just disclose the information, and it will not even be a question. Criminal reviews encompass all Merchant Mariner credentials, and you have one now.
