Are You following Prof Jeffrey Sachs and his teachings and theory of benevolence and idealism ?

I do but I do also follow Prof Mearsheimer and his realism religion. And both argue quite often.

But there is also a problem with Starship troopers and Robert A. Heinlein dilemma.

Humans are predatory species and so far I have noticed only one Jesus and one Maria Teresa from Calcutta and plenty of Adolfs and Pol Pots running around with axes in killing orgy.

What I want to know is this:

The first time we bombed Tehran the president said that all nuclear bombmaking facilities were completely wiped out.

But now he is saying that Iran has bombmaking capabilities that need to be wiped out.

Which means he was wrong about it the first time. Or he was lying.

If he was wrong the first time, why do you think he won’t be wrong again?

And if he was lying then, why are you believing him now?

The cool thing about this war if you’re a military contractor is all the air defense missiles being used, especially the Patriots at a million each.That ‘Iron Dome’ air defense idea was genius. The number of $1,000,000 missiles needed to defend against $30,000 drones and drone swarms is some serious income. :smiley:

Does your position on POTUS being honest apply to Biden saying the border is safe? Just one example for arguments sake…

Yeah? How many radicals were among the 20,000,000 “undocumented” who crossed this secure border?

Which do you think history will show had more negative impact on our safety as a nation? On bringing peace in the Middle East? Historically.

I beleive this action against Iran will positively impact millions across the world. Many more than negatively. At the same time I believe that people will die in this country at the hands of Biden’s campaign to let as many immigrants in this country with no consideration of the consequences.

I’m not expressing whataboutism. I’m asking you seriously what you believe.

Get out of the past. Americanized Iranians are not my favorite immigrants. In my neighborhood a group of Iranians have purchased five homes from the original owners, and turned them into leased properties. There’s a constant turn-over of unfriendly (don’t say hi, or even look at you) tenants where there once was my actual neighbors with whom my wife and I shared meals, conversation in the front yards etc.

Aside from all that, I don’t necessarily think Iran shouldn’t be taken down. I dislike religion, and the misery and false hope it brings.
