Before the first debate Karine Jean-Pierre said the hardest part of her job was keeping up with Biden during meetings because he was so fast & sharp. Just weeks before Bidens debate failure Pelosi said she was in a 3 hour meeting with Biden & he was as alert as he ever was. Somewhere on the internet there’s a montage put together by republicans of different Democrat powerbrokers touting the mental keenness of Biden just before the debate. Anyone who questioned Bidens mental competency was insulted & dismissed, even on this forum. RFK jr nor any other Democrat was allowed to run in the primary because Biden had it in the bank. Then after all the primary votes were counted from all the states, everything said & done they put him on stage & pretended they didn’t know he was mentally diminished, like it happened overnight. My liberal kids were showing me TicToc videos of Bidens colossal screw up 2 years ago but the Dems string pullers didn’t figure it out until debate night??? Impossible! The Democrat Harris appointment to president was planned for years. If 13 yrs old had Biden diagnosed 2 yrs before no way in heck he was keeping it hidden from them. No one, Democrat or Independent, who supported Biden, then pre-appointed Harris has any authority to lecture anyone about dictators or rigged elections. Either they aren’t smart enough to figure out what a 13 yr old can or they are happy with the undemocratic scam pulled on the American people.

I remember in 2016 Republicans targeting HRC, saying the exact same things about her: neurological decline, can’t talk, can’t walk, etc.
They used doctored montages and phonied videos as evidence. Lots of people on this forum bought it all and commented on her mental decline.
Yet after the election she went on to give Harvard lectures, write books, go on talk shows, walk around , and do all the things former politicians do. I didn’t see any of the disease that the GOP accused her of having.
So, the GOP called wolf. And I, a former GOP voter burned by their lies in the past, found another reason not to believe them.
As for the rest, I’m not a child. The rest is politics. A brutal sport played for spectators who deserve no better. The odd thing: I saw no rules broken in that last game but the winners are still whining about it.
What about the over 14000 children killed in the present war (so far)?
They were killed by bombs that did explode on impact.
They are just as missed by their parents (if they survived) as any children that MAY be killed will be.
Does it matter whether they are killed by bombs that exploded, or by unexploded bombs that go off during the clearing of the rubble left behind?
What matters is that the bombing stop so no more children gets killed because grown ups can’t behave like grown ups.

I’ll put you down in the column of not knowing Biden was suffering from demdiminished mental functions until his debate with Trump on June 27 2024 or you don’t think he is suffering from age related mental decline at all. Again, thanks for the honesty but I’m kind of disappointed because there were scores of unedited videos that made it so blatantly obvious. I pegged you as being more observant & critical thinking than that.

Ronald Reagan in his second term was already showing the beginning stages of Alzheimer’s. Some Democrats accused of him dementia at the time. No Republicans did. Talk to Republicans five years ago they would say, Maybe Reagan did have Alzheimer’s, but he was still suitable for president. Hell, he was the GOAT they would say.
Well, take that as precedent then. Presidents can have mental decline and still function.

Biden’s detractors say he was a puppet of his handlers. Who were his handlers? His detractors seldom name them. When CJ was P45 any gaffe he made was blamed on his daughter or son in law. Hell, nowadays CJ just farms out his decision making to Fox News commentators. His cabinet is full of them. Does that means he is a puppet of Rupert Murdoch?
You and I look at the same world from different angles and that affects everything. You look at the last four years negatively. Me? Pandemic- induced inflation spiraled everywhere in the world, but it spiraled least in the USA, and not by a little. That’s a win.
We pulled out troops from nearly every Mideast country we got embroiled in 23 years ago. To me that’s a win. Unemployment was never lower . The stock market, never higher. And , most importantly, riots which rocked the nation in the P45 administration were no more. All those were wins.
So, why should I vote against the president—advisors and all— who had a hand in all that?
Presidents can do little to bring about good. Mainly, their job is to steer a middle course and deter the extremists on either side from wrecking the country.
But presidents can quite easily do a lot of bad, by veering away from the center. I know that, so I voted accordingly.
It will not be a peaceful summer.
