Canal building is not something of the passed, but something for the future:

They have no tech that they didnt steal

I chatted with a GE engineer that worked on the joint venture of the c919, he said they just couldnt create the computer interface for the engine, as mentioned in the vid, the joint venture fell apart.
Years later they had another go

The Mandate from heaven says floods cause the ruler to be changed along with financial failure in Chinese culture “Tianming”

China is digging new canals to help inland shipping development:

More details in China Daily:

I wonder if it helped or hindered the flooding?

What do you mean with “help or hinder the flooding”?

Did it “help the flooding” cause more problems during this latest incidence?
Or did it do anything to “hinder the flooding” from happening at all?
Probably none of the above, since that flooding happened in a different part of China.

From the article in China Daily:

The idea of diverting water from the relatively wet to the drier parts of China is not new:

Slipway, Chinese style:

lol its being played backwards but with a big run up I wonder if it was possible to come back up on the inflated rollers?

Very doubtful.
With a big run up, coming into very shallow waters, the ship will push a high frontal wave of water.
The rollers will immediately lift… but not the ship.

Hence, the ship will most probably push the rollers away to the sides… and ground.

yes true, but love to see the first try

Well spotted. I was wondering how long it would take before somebody commented.
The people are all walking backwards and the wake at the bow, not a bow wave, is a dead giveaway.

Not that way, but it has been done several times:

I remember that it has been done in The Netherlands as well, but can’t find it now.

Something to understand about China from someone who lived through it:

Will we learn from the mistakes or repeat the mistakes?

Hysterical poppycock from a propaganda network that had to pay nearly a billion dollars in damages for knowingly and repeatedly lying, and will likely have to pay nearly a billion dollars more…

But hey, Kayleigh McEnany has great legs so it must be all true! :star_struck:
