Clearly the sarcasm went right over your head.
Ukrainian sailor in Majorca tried to sink yacht of Russian boss:
He told a judge that he regretted nothing and would do it again.
Did you mean this one?:
Registered in the name of a friend, but…??

I’m fairly certain he posted that as satire.
Was actually thinly more along the lines of Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya. I guess those are a bit more recent.
Do you think the west has let Putin march in to trap him and now all guns blazing to give Putin another afghanistan?
Population sufferening due to sanctions and then marching backwards as they leave the Ukraine with the worlds press contunually mentioning Afghanistan.
Lets see if they keep voting him in?
That would only be relevant in a democracy. It’s a long time since Putin depended on popular support. These days his MO is suppression of dissent, which is ongoing with full force. War protesters are being arrested en masse, and the domestic media has been forbidden any mention of the war as such.
Our most effective pressure point now is probably the riches of his cronies. He can do well without popular support, but not so much without the support of the elite.
I would have expected ombugge (lead anti-American boot-licker) to turn this whole thread into some pro-Putin, anti-NATO ass-kissing.
Bravo for heading the other direction for a few moments.
The oligarchs in the “Operachina ” (spelling ?) are the only support Putin needs, but without their support Putin is done.
If the West squeezes the oligarchs, costs them billions and disrupts their comfortable life, Putin will relent.
For the first time I have flagged a post, here or anywhere.
I found your post insulting and frankly, stupid!!
I notice that the three posts you have made since joining today, have all been of the same “high intellectual standard”.
Maersk announced that shipments to and from Russia will be suspended temporarily in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine
Here’s one that has gone undetected by most of newspaper’s lists:
Andrey Melnicenko Sailing Yacht “A”, picture is unforgiving but she is a beautiful hypertech vessel.
A better pic.
In dock at Trieste’s yard for a month almost.
Machiavelli learned us already a long time ago that an invading country will never be successful in taking over the control of such a country if the entire population is against it. The resistance of the original population will be permanent and fierce until the occupational forces are driven out. Recent examples are the wars in Vietnam and Afghanistan who were able to drive out the much better armed occupiers. Ukraine is the latest example of his theory. Putin may occupy the country for a short period but will be driven out. What will help is that the costs of an occupation of another country is enormous.
