I don’t believe that the colour of your skin make any difference to your knowledge of anything.
Having lived and worked in Asia most of my life doesn’t make me want to change the colour of skin, but it does give me some knowledge and understanding of Asian affairs and thinking that you don’t get from being born a “yellow Oriental”.

Norwegian is a nationality, not a race. There are now Norwegian citizens and residents of all races and with different skin colours.

Western countries are now pulling out all the stops in terms of sanctions. The latest round includes:
** Cutting some Russian banks out of the SWIFT messaging system*
** Freezing the Russian central bank’s access to its foreign currency reserves held in the West*
** Increased sanctions on Russian banks in general*
** Establishing an international task force to hunt down and freeze the assets of Russian companies and Russian oligarchs*
The west has frozen 39% ($630 billion) of Russia’s Central Bank reserves. If Japan joins the West with similar sanctions, as much as half of their reserves will be frozen.
If you can believe this tweet, Russia spent 15 percent of their foreign currency reserves Friday trying to prop up the Rouble. They can’t sustain that for another week.
That doesn’t look like the work of an anti-ship missile. A relatively small explosion went off at most a few feet behind the plate, as evidenced by the folding around the hole and the lack of buckling in the surrounding area. My bet would be a 57 or whatever the Russian equivalent is, which implies that this happened in visual range.
A bit of a difference. Mao was a zealot who never lost power. Putin wishes to make Russia Great Again by reuniting the former Soviet controlled countries. But he is also a capitalist who got into power by making his friends and himself extraordinarily wealthy. Now, he has to worry about his friends turning on him because of his overreach. My Ukrainian friends have varied opinions. They say the government is less corrupt now than when Putin’s puppet was in charge but there is still plenty of corruption. They remind me it is kinda like the USA. Working people cannot afford to participate in the corruption, only the rich can. But none want to be under Russia and they will resist. We shall see.
