This picture has been around for a long time, but it is still impressive:
It just show one of the 10 towing vessels that was used though:
8 towing + 2 steering.
On a temporary “bridge” in a container on top of the Troll A was a fellow I know with a radio in his hand (and a tooth pick in his mouth) giving instructions to the towing vessels:
