Thoughts on seaschool in alabama?

So I’m about to take the AB course at seaschool in bayou la batre. Just curious if any of you have taken any courses here and what your opinions are. Also I have been doing some light studying in preperation for the class. Is this necessary? Or will they basically teach me what I need to know. Just curious.

I’ve taken a couple of classes at Sea School. The instructors should teach you what you need to pass the test. I always study before I take a class though. Better to go in to class with a good knowledge of the subject. I like the books published by Cornell. You can usually pick them up reasonably priced on Amazon. Just don’t spend to much time at Rodnockers.

I’m sure there are better schools out there but Sea School worked for me.

I assume rod knockers is the local bar.what is it pretty badass? I suppose i dont need to get wasted all week…

Just a small bar. They unload shrimp boats downstairs.

Considering they will pick you up at the airport Feed you all you can eat and give you a place to stay cheaper the what other places charge for just the course how can you go wrong

I flew to AL from CT and was at the school for over 2 weeks. It was cheaper and faster than taking the classes near my home. I passed all my tests but I also worked at it. Failure was not an option as I was on my own dime. Some other students on the company’s payroll failed due more to their attitude than the school.

I stopped by the Sea School, to take a test for radio operator in 2013 and stayed to attend the classes I needed to get my MMD documents. The personal and instructors were informative and professional. I give them a Thumbs Up

I have sent two others to the school and they were satisfied with the classes also.

I love rodknockers

Is that Sea school still in business? It does not have a website or post its schedule of courses.
