The Ramifications

…….are being felt globally. Not just oil, business establishments closing, job losses, steep inflation, farm schedules affected, equity markets tanking, bullion prices plummeting and oil prices rising………a house of cards.
Clearly, our various societies are very heavily geared to and fully dependent on hydrocarbons.
Not quite sure what this individual is hoping to achieve out of this very expensive and damaging foray into the Middle East but I do wonder if any planning or understanding towards the massive global consequences and the impost on the America taxpayer was, in any way, taken into account.
The zenith of chaos.

If there were people in the Trump administration who would bother to look at history they would know that Persia [Iran] was last conquered in 330 BC. They have survived for many reasons as explained below. That the USA ignores the lessons of history as well as the counsel of generals who have war gamed this idea 100’s of times and saw no good out come is just blatant incompetence. Then allying themselves with the now rogue genocidal nation of Israel is a formula for disaster.

Iran’s resilience isn’t some happy accident or historical fluke. It’s baked into the terrain, wired into the culture, and stress-tested by centuries of invasions, coups, sanctions, and regime changes. This isn’t a country that’s unfamiliar with pressure. It’s a country that treats pressure like a recurring guest — unpleasant, sometimes destructive, but rarely permanent. Governments shift, borders adjust, outside powers posture, and somehow the core identity re-calibrates and keeps moving.

The fantasy of “finally subduing Iran” has popped up in more than one war room across history. Empires have tried. Strategists have sketched maps. Politicians have made confident declarations. And yet long-term domination keeps slipping through the fingers of whoever assumes it will be simple. Not because Iran has avoided turmoil — it absolutely hasn’t — but because it has repeatedly shown an ability to absorb shock, reorganize internally, and outlast the certainty of those who assumed it could be neatly bent to their will.

The same can be said for China, but will “le idiot” take that into consideration before trying to do something stupid with Taiwan?

What are U moaning about. ??

The little hitlerites allowed to dwell here have already and cathegorically qualified it as collateral damage.
I heard it on the grapevine they are now blaiming AI targeting for this mess.

In numbers this casualty it is a chump change .
AI guru says this:

Precise, comprehensive data on the total number of children killed by the US military since 2000 is unavailable due to challenges in reporting and tracking civilian casualties

. However, watchdog groups and UN reports indicate thousands of deaths in conflict zones like Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, with estimates from specific, limited periods showing at least 1,200+ in Iraq and hundreds more in drone strikes.

Key Data Points and Estimates:

  • Iraq (2003–2011): The Iraq Body Count group reported that U.S. coalition forces killed at least 1,201 children.

  • Afghanistan (2005–2019): UN data cited by Save the Children indicates over 26,000 children were killed or maimed, though this total includes all parties in the conflict.

  • Pakistan Drone Strikes: Estimates suggest U.S. drone strikes caused 172 to 207 child fatalities.

  • Syria/Iraq (Anti-ISIS Campaign): estimated that U.S.-led forces killed at least 1,239 civilians, including children, in recent years.

The actual figures are widely considered to be significantly higher due to underreporting in conflict zones.

Note: These figures reflect estimates of children directly killed by American-led military operations and do not include the larger number of children who died from indirect causes (e.g., disease, starvation) due to the destruction of infrastructure- look up Iraq ca 500 000

Shit happens at war not always deliberate . If war is your craft and modus operandi and in 250 years you did not fight wars for some 20 years , then it means in a lot of wars a lot of shit happened most of it unintentional.
And look at Gaza. Killing there has become a new normal and BIBI is already looking hungrily at Turkye. More to come , just watch it.

Since the “Hypocrisy revealed” thread was closed I post these questions here.

How many participated in the anti-regime demonstrations in Iran in January?
Answer: On 8 January, 1.5 million protesters took to the streets of Tehran and, by 9 January 5 million people were protesting nationwide according to an unnamed European diplomat citing intelligence.

How many participated in the “No King” demonstrations last month?
Answer: Event organisers for Saturday’s protests estimate more than 8 million people attended to protest policies imposed by US President Donald Trump

HE WINNS AGAIN!!! Are you tiered of winning yet??

A heath clinic in Wellington NZ that has medical staff visit patients in their homes have sent an invoice to the US Embassy for the increased cost of fuel.

It will be symbolic still I like the thought. The abrupt rise in Diesel has occurred just at the time of harvesting cereal crops and combine harvesters chew through the fuel so the price of a loaf of bread has increased along with everything else.

Consumers in the USA will have similar problems to us in addition to the exponential cost of this conflict. USA supplied diesel has risen from $US3.70 to close to $US7.00 per gallon. Doing a quick conversion, we are paying $US8.50 per gallon post conflict and with the view that we import 90% of our refined fuel this situation is, quite plainly, not economically sustainable. So, not only is Trump’s conflict having significant global ramifications but he is screwing over his own nation.
Edit: Apparently Trump is giving a live update in 3 hours. The madness continues.

The President of Iran has spoken directly\y to US citizen:

Did anybody listened? Will there be an uprising in USA?

I subscribe to his podcasts. It is convenient to include us with Australia but we are just very good friends. We had one refinery that was closed by a socialist/green government and the oil and gas industry shut down. We get our refined products from much the same sources as Australia.

We have empty tanks that could contain 2,200,300 barrels of crude oil. Diesel has an expiry date. Crude doesn’t.
