I have heard that Seadrill gives Bonuses from a few guys there that I know. But do they tell you anything about them when they make you an offer to come to work for them or is it not mentioned untill you have worked for them for x amount of time?
First, what position where you offered? Second are you referring to retention or management bonus? Third, I believe they stopped the retention bonus scheme for new hires after January 1st, 2012. When I was there in 2011, they still had it, but I have heard that its no longer there.
At the moment the only bonuses offered are performance bonuses for select positions. Target is 12% but can be as high as 18% of your base salary. If they have sent you an offer it will be outlined there if you are eligible.
Retention bonuses are not being offered right now.
I did receive a shipyard delivery bonus last year, but those are case by case.
