We are seeking several highly motivated Master that are interested in accelerating their career to the next level. If you have what it takes, Resolve Marine would like to hear from you. We are looking for candidates having salvage, towing, emergency response and operational experience along US Coastal Waters, in and around Alaska on conventional ocean-going tug/anchor handling vessels with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Master.
To be successful in this position the candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude who takes pride in their work. They will demonstrate the ability to cooperate and communicate well with coworkers, supervisors, and subordinates. They will step up as a leader but be willing to ask for support when needed. They will be reliable and able to see a task through to completion, demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills. They will follow all safety protocols and adhere to regulations and company policies. Contract is 2 months ON/OFF with +/- 5 days to match with our company flight availability.
I have been on wire boats since 1990. I got my 1600 ton with all the bells and whistles in 1995. We are here. Most companies offer low pay an no schedule. So, at least in my case. Went for the lower pay for schedule and benefits. I don’t want to lose another family.
I would highly advise giving centerline a wide berth. Poor management, vessels are old and not kept up. They will lie about wages to get you in the door. There are reasons they are always hiring.
I thought there was a connection too, but it turns out they are separate independent companies. In 2011 Resolve bought the tugs Commander and and Gladiator from Crowley, renamed them Resolve Commander and Resolve Gladiator.
