Reading the pulse of the GoM mariner post ECO memo to its officers

Here here Mr. Murph has a fantastic idea which should truly reflect the pulse of the GoM mariner. Let’s add this choice to the poll I’m sure it will be a much more popular selection.

you can’t add choices after a poll is started besides the second option I offered is basically the same thing which pathetically few have selected,so you remain nothing more than a Faux Jeaux

I thought you were an administrator the way you speak as if you run this site? You spend so much time here I assumed you were a moderator at the very least. Surely someone more important than you could change the poll. Perhaps you have the ability but are afraid that if you do the truth will come out that GoM Mariners do not want a union.

what does it say below my username? does it say administrator? what a poltroon you are.

btw, my second choice is in all essence the question you wish…try comprehending it if you can read at an 8th grade level

That’s probably true, things move slowly there. The GoM runs about one or two hundred years behind highly developed countries and advanced civilizations.

walk backwards, talk backwards, think backwards, act backwards…get booted in the balls by Joe Boss and beg him for another. a more pathetic bunch of Joe Boss ass lickers you will ever find!

nowhere but in ole Dixie!

You are a very rude person, I do not understand why you have so much hate for the southeastern part of our country.

It takes awhile. Only 150 years ago one quarter of a million of the population down there died fighting for Joe Boss and his right to buy and sell human beings. They still reenact battles of a war they lost fighting for Joe Boss ! Patience is in order, things move really slowly down there including the education system .In the GoM having one person, Joe Boss, determine whether you work or not, whether you have insurance or not determines who you can associate with and decides what you may think equals freedom ! Which is why signing a declaration that you will not support in any way any organized labor is no problem. In the convoluted thinking there this just proves there is freedom to do exactly as you are told. Joe Boss will do the thinking for you just like he has been for the last 250 years. It’s easier that way.

I have worked in the Colombia River, Great Lakes, NY Harbor (Northeast), and the GOM. As far as I could tell they are ALL Joe Bosses. You do what they want or you get the boot.
I have seen as many yes men Captains in union ships as I have seen in the GOM. We all work for someone and we all do something we don’t like or don’t care for to keep our jobs. The only difference is that some of you are to proud to even notice your self doing it!!

So wait a minute I can join a union and enjoy their insurance for just a few hundred dollars a year? This sounds like a better deal than Obamacare. I imagine there is a catch where I have to sail a minimum number of days a year. Does Guido Union call Joe Foss and demand I get my 90 days so I can keep my benefits? Does Guido tell me I have the freedom to associate with whichever Joe will hire me to get the 90 days. Either way still sounds like I'm dependent on Joe for my insurance. If not I wouldn't be spreading around top tier insurance is available for a few hundred bucks a year just to be in the union.

Oh and I knew the civil war was gonna be brought up at some point. It’s y’all’s go to argument when things aren’t going your way.

I don’t think people would notice the difference between union / non-union in day to day operations. Unions don’t change the laws of economics or physics. The effects are going to be along the margins. It not like the crew can say, tie up the ship because they don’t like the brand of peanut butter.

A sports team that can improve by a small percentage in one area (no. of shots on goal for example) while leaving other areas unchanged is going have improved performance. The change is not going to be apparent to everyone.

So you two can’t win an argument with rational thought or merit, so insult those you disagree with.

Sir what is wrong with participating in Civil War reenactments? I happen to participate in those myself and find them a great way to spend a weekend. I have the honor of portraying my Great Great Great Grandfather Colonel Angus Bawss. He served with honor under General Francis T Nicholls at the Battle of Lafourche Crossing.

LOL. Dammit man! Why break character now?! You had so many going…well maybe a few anyways! Thanks for the entertainment.

Well, get ready, Bedelia. If I remember correctly, Colonel Angus can be very messy!

lemme guess that the good Colonel was a slaveowner and used his darkies to man his fleet of suicide Pirogues?

and after the war, he smuggled contraband under the noses of the hated Union occupiers in his beard!

btw, looked up the Battle of LaFourche Crossing and guess what? A resounding “UNION” victory so put that in your smoke and pipe it!

My ancestors did nothing of the sort, sir my family’s land was a waypoint on the Underground Railroad. You will do well to refrain from this sort of talk and leave my family out of it.
