I have a 1600t Master Oceans and recently acquired my 3rd mate NC. Do I have to test at the REC for my oceans endorsement or does simply completing the course suffice?

Test at REC, there are no courses approved to meet testing requirements for unlimited license oceans endorsement.
I asked the instructors at Crawfords and they said you have to take the test at the coast guard. She said you can take a refresher course and they can help you study for the unlimited test but you just can’t take the test at the school
