Problems replying to posts

I have been having these issues as well; however I have noticed that during this ‘flickering’ the ads either reset or change entirely. This results, at least for me, in the page going back to the top and a screen ‘flicker’. This flickering issue doesn’t happen all the time, and I have not tried see what happens if I turn AdBlock on for this site.

Thanks for the update that you’ll will start looking into it.

Ok, we did a bunch or rebooting, database restoring, cache clearing, etc. Everything looks ok now on my devices and via the test server but… how does it look for you?

Seems ok on my end. No problems for the last 2 days.

The New Post Indicator is still showing after refreshing. So, I guess we will see if this post shows.

On an unrelated issue, when you are on the gCaptain home page and you use the Forum button, it directs you to https://gcaptain.com/forum/forum.php instead of http://gcaptain.com/forum/forum.php. The https version is missing styling.

EDIT: After submitting this post, I encountered the same flickering error. Ads refreshing constantly and new posts disappeared. Will reset my cache and cookies.

Still have to refresh to get latest post to show. Running Chrome on OS X, latest versions of both.

Cheers,

Earl

Followup to my #46: After posting it, same “flickering + unending refresh” problem. Hit “stop loading” (“X”) and refresh and post #46 shows.

Cheers,

Earl

Post did not show up, but the page kept flickering/reloading. Had to clear history.

Using Windows 7 and Chrome.

Still can’t get new posts without clearing the cash and cookies and everything, which resets all my sites, not just here.
Windows 10 firefox, samsung tablet, and phone. Even tried a work computer that I had never used for this site, and I got the same days old posts as “new”.

I’m able to post fine but to read anything current, I have to refresh the browser (Firefox).

Testing again. Using Chrome.

I can see my recent post using Chrome, in IE. Let’s see if I can see it in IE.

Testing a reply … after a week of problems it seems to be working this afternoon.

Now, let’s see if I can see this.

I can see clearly now … after a refresh. It doesn’t automatically display the reply like it used to.

This issue has been fixed… still working on the rest.

It seems to be working well today. The only problem I can see now is that it can’t quite remember if I am logged in or not.

Still having to constantly refresh and “logged in” or “not logged in” status changes constantly depending on which thread I click on.

Had to clear my history to get in today.

I have no problem getting in using Chrome. . . but I do have to refresh once in a category or after a post. . .

I have had numerous problems logging in but it is inconsistent.

Me too have such problem

I’ve tried two different browsers and have trouble posting.

Website is poorly maintained. Becoming too aggravating to bother with. Perhaps owners have lost interest due to lack of traffic/money
