Located in the Santos Basin, the Bacalhau field is developed in ultra‑deep water of 2,100 meters and is characterised by high reservoir pressure, making offshore operations technically demanding. As new wells are completed, they will be sequentially connected and brought on stream, requiring Ocean Installer to remain adaptable during execution.

None of the involved companies have yet made any official statements about a deal.
Arctic LNG 2 was projected to become Russia’s largest producer of liquefied natural gas. In 2018, Total (now TotalEnergies) and Novatek signed an agreement under which the French company acquired a 10 percent stake in the project. Novatek retained 60 percent, while the Chinese CNPC and CNOOC acquired 10 percent each, and the Japanese Mitsui and JOGMEC shared the remaining 10 percent.
“Total is delighted to be part of this new world-class LNG project alongside its partner Novatek,” Patrick Pouyanné, chairman and CEO of Total, said at the time.

Two other FPSO is heading back to work after a lengthy refurbishment:
In December Navitas and Rockhopper took their final investment decision to proceed with developing the first phase of the northern area of the field, targeting 170 million barrels of oil using the Aoka Mizu floating production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO).

Navitas has now agreed to acquire another FPSO, called OSX1, for $125 million, to develop the central area of the Sea Lion field. A spokesman for Navitas said this area could yield the equivalent of 403 million barrels of oil.
