Does anyone know of any none academy schools that i can upgrade my OS to AB?
You don’t mention where you are located, but there are plenty of USCG approved schools where you can take a course in lieu of the AB exam, in order to upgrade your MMD.

Depending on what you are after, its close to mandatory I believe that you also take a Lifeboatman’s class. There are less of these offered around the country, but they can also be found on the coast guard’s website.
