No way I’m signing that deal' with 'Green New Deal stuff

Who knows? Good question. Arison probably has spent time at Mar Lago but why bail out non US corporations that employee relatively few US citizens? He also wants to bail out the airlines who have paid 0 taxes for years. One might think there is money changing hands or some other quid pro quo. It doesn’t meet the smell test

I don’t need to defend her position. She’s not my congresswoman. Find one of the citizens who voted for her and argue with them.

Oh, and by the way, do you mind citing your factual source for this statement?

…and there is the rub. Generally, Congress has an abysmal approval rating among voters. Yet, we keep sending the same faces back each election. Why?

“Well, my Senator/House Member is great, look at the projects/jobs/cash they bring to the state/district.” It is everyone else in Congress that is useless, or so says the the electorate. We are often locally happy, nationally disgusted. I would like to see term limits; 2 consecutive terms for Senators, 3 for members of the House. If they take a cycle off, they can run again next election. Just my opinion, but if we keep sending the same personalities back, and they are able to make elected office a career instead of a period of duty, we are doomed to more of the same.

“If you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keep getting what you’ve always got.” (Horrible grammar, but the point is made)

As I said and now will say again:

If you think that is a bridge too far based on her on record statements and behavior, then by all means state why.

Here’s a good place to start:

Then why do you give a shit if anyone is sending her Christmas cards?

Good point Tengineer1. The independents are the vote highly sought after. Have voted for different parties over the years, and will continue to do so for whatever party can deliver on my particular interests. That’s what it is all about having the right to that one vote.

And I again ask you, would you care to share the factual reportage of these with the class? It must be out there, somewhere.
(…or can it be that when you remember her finely-chiseled, caramel colored features, her raven tresses, her devastating smile and stunning physique, you are so filled with rage knowing you will never have her that you can never be at rest…)

Well shit, went to the store yesterday and forgot the popcorn. Only 2 bags of grapes left, I didn’t want to hoard. Did get some sweet potato’s and sliced turkey.

How dare you! Do you know how much carbon is needed to transport those grapes this time of year?!?!

Jesus…so we’re to the point where I post a link, then you tell me that’s a biased source, then you post salon.com’s version? Kinda over that.

The rest of the class can type in google searches on their own to find AOC’s pro illegal immigrant stance as easy as I can. Beauty of it is, she doesn’t even try to hide it so it’s not really even in doubt where she stands…except for people like you I suppose. Lest we forget that earlier in this thread you even tried to imply that you weren’t anti-Trump.

Why don’t we just decide to stick to WAPO, NYT, or BBC?

Never thought of the carbon foot print of any product I buy. I am so irresponsible, but cared about the people that really wanted those last two bags of grapes, didn’t know how long they were there, and may have been sour. There was plenty of sliced turkey. Sweet potato’s were getting low, only took 4.

Na, that’s ok…on a topic this easy I have faith in the class’s ability to figure out AOC’s position on any number of issues regarding illegal aliens. By ‘the class’ I mean pretty much any class down to about 3rd grade.

…mmm…that caramel loveliness…she just kind of sticks in the mind, doesn’t she?..a surefire pharmaceutical-grade Carpenters’ love song kind of high…

yeah, she’s not a bad looking woman. But I judge her not by the color of her skin but by the content of her agenda.

Now, I’m not saying Mitch McConnell isn’t a fine looking slab of turkey meat. But when that lil’ ole AOC commences to fillibusterin’ over an Ag bill in the summer heat, on a 50" UHD cable screen, and that little vein wiggles in her forehead…well, this red-blooded American male just stands to attention with pride.

Judging people by the color of their skin or their sex is wrong…unless it’s used to pick a vice president.
