I was visiting recently and talked to one of the staff and it came up. It was a civilian student — but it still cracked me up.
Scumbag senator Mike Lee doesn’t do anything maritime-related for the benefit of American citizens, let alone American mariners. Although we’re all aware that this bill is performative kabuki at its’ finest and designed to never see consideration, his undying enmity for us in particular makes me think he’s going to be pleasuring himself over even the notional concept of the likes and shares from the feculent bags of ass who call out ‘based’ at the thought of our industry members being put in harm’s way for his friends’ profit.
See this right here is one of the many reasons I should never be elected to the house or senate. I would absolutely take this kind of bill and run with it and make sure everyone knew who the sponsor was every time I did something to push it forward, because I am just a little bit of an asshole like that.
