John, Congrats on the book deal!

I just pre-ordered a copy of John’s bookfrom Amazon… considering all the hard work he’s put into the site I know it will be money well spent and he deserves our support!

Well done John!

awsome,I would be so proud, to have a copy. Congratulations, Capt. John.

Agree. I have no thanks button so this is it. I bet Jeff gets signed copy. ; )

need any drawings/art work ? ;)

Super, hope John got a big advance with a 1000 copy minimum sales before the money starts rolling in.
What’s next a fire proof server and a paid slot as the CNN drillship expert? The man’s coming right along I’d say, more power to him and best wishes.
I have a question though. Why write the book now before more facts are known about the causes or is this just an accounting of the events as they happened on that day? I can’t find much preview info.
My order is in by the way.

John tell your publisher to make it available for Kindle!

Nauticart: CMJeff will be the last to get a free copy

Tengineer: “Why write the book now before more facts are known” For many reasons including the publsihers push to get this out before the public forgets about the event. But also because I am hoping to make this book more about the people who work offshore than about the technical jargon.

Doug: Already done but it really depends on how many people click "I’d like to read this book on Kindle " over at our amazon page.

To everyone… many thanks for the kind words and support!

I clicked it.

I only have two requests. A signed copy and if this is turned into a movie - Tony Hayward is to be played by Mr.Ed…actually the backend of any available horse will do.

Yes but who will play the nearby workboat captain who relayed the mayday to Transocean? (Don’t answer that Lee… )
I…the backend of any available horse will do.
That may be easier said than done, I hear many of them work for the USCG.
