What exactly is interesting? Maybe I am missing something.

Wow, a posting for AB position in the oil patch during this downturn. In spite of oil being at $42/bbl.

I would practically guarantee you that is for one of the govt contract boats.

Only those with a security clearance need apply.

If that was the case, they shouldn’t advertise for an AB OSV, can’t use on a government vessel.

The boats are OSVs, just on a govt contract.

Not for OSV work, they may have been OSV once upon a time but if working on a govt contract, they are not an ‘OSV’. Unless the govt has mud being delivered to a govt drillship out there. Has to be related to oil production, exploration, exploitation… Govt charters an OSV for escort or other stuff, they change service to freight or industrial.

I didn’t see that a security clearance was needed. Maybe I missed it. It could be for the boat that’s hosting Hillary’s servers.

I just mad a wild ass guess considering how bad things in the gulf are right now.

I wouldn’t say it was a wild ass guess. You may be spot on. If it comes to weighing the odds that HOS advertised for an actual OSV AB position against the likelihood that an HR rep cut and paste the standard AB job text, smart money says you’re likely right…

HOS should fire her then, they seem to be firing boat people over similar mistakes.

That HR person will probably spend the next week going through the applications, how many will Hornbeck get 4 or 5 hundred?
