Inland crew boats

In the mid ‘90’s when I fist got my license I ran 48’ inland crew boats in the winter. From New Iberia to Dauphin Island and every thing in between. I likes the job. No crew. Lived on the rigs.

I made 135 a day then. What are boats like that paying now?

It must be easy now with GPS.

Why would an inland crew boat use DP?

The reply was that 100 ton captains with DP were making $400 and was a comparison. He wasn’t saying they were using DP inshore. I never really got a solid answer on current pay for the small boats.
