Unusual for a hurricane that formed where it did. My sister and brother in law live on an island off the south coast of Nova Scotia near Lunenburg . They had 100 km/h winds, fallen trees, no damage to their house, docks or moored boats but are still without power.
I took the family up through there in 1985. We were in an RV and the ferry at Cedar Island was suspended due to bad weather. We were OK but there were some in cars with what seemed to be their worldly possessions crammed in with them. My son wanted to see where the Wright brothers first flew.
The weather came right after about six hours.
Dorian (Durian??) has travelled across the Atlantic and are now felt here on the west coast of Norway. Luckily it it is now only at force 8 -9, but still with a lot of rain.
