No worries…our president will blow it up if it gets too close to the US.

Latest Dorian forecast track 1100 AST Aug 29:

144746_5day_cone_no_line_and_wind

That article from the Intelligencer is completely bogus. What CNN is reporting is Trump wanted to build a floating wall from the top of South America to Nova Scotia to keep the storms out. A nuclear bomb would only kill 1 storm. Duh?!

I’m thinking an electric fence in the sky stretching from Puerto Rico to Maine would do the trick. The contact between the fence and the storm’s electric field would bounce those storms right back to where they came from.

All those damned dangerous offshore windmills are sucking those hurricanes to our shores. Just buy Greenland already and tow it off of Florida as a breakwater (and golf course). And the Inuits will pay for it!

…CATASTROPHIC CATEGORY 5 DORIAN POUNDING GREAT ABACO…

This is a life-threatening situation. Residents in the Abacos
should stay in their shelter. Do not venture out into the eye if it
passes over your location.

Hazards:

  • Wind Gusts over 220 mph
  • Storm Surge 18 to 23 feet above normal tide levels with higher
    destructive waves

These hazards will cause extreme destruction in the affected areas
and will continue for several hours.

Hauled my boat out this morning and hoping for the best in the NC outer banks.

Watching it close myself from SC. Bug out bag is ready if it looks like it won’t degrade to a 2 or comes any closer to the coast

I’m with ya … watching intently from a barrier island in SC.
Hoping for a big turn !

Here in West Palm Beach, patiently waiting for the forecasted turn and trying not to eat all the hurricane snacks…

As always, the best reporting is Levi Cowan’s “Tropical Tidbits:”

Levi Cowan’s Blog

His 1 September entry actually explains why the models differed. Amazing stuff to get off today’s internet.

Cheers,

Earl

Sitting in New England, transit south cancelled and will be departing from here by next week. Adios Dorian.

That’s a good find. Best explanation I’ve seen anywhere and I’ve looked a lot of places.
