Hormuz in the News

If they have, it takes some cojones to drive a warship through a mined area

Who said it was mined?

The Iranians suggested it was.

Still takes some to drive a warship through

TACO

Wouldn’t

That was not the one I saw first but I do admit I did check out Sal’s channel for confirmation and it was that vid

Bugger all about it on the news.

But then I do watch the BBC because I can’t seem to wean myself off the fact that at one time you could actually believe what they said.

I think it was around the time that they became The Blair Broadcasting Company that I should have binned them as a credible source of news.

The thing that the orange man is suing them over is just sooo unprofessional that one part of me wants TACO to win and shut them down.

But they do some good stuff if only they could just fire the left wing activists in the team

BBC actually confirms it

The Iranians (meaning the Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) said so, so it has to be true. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Now we know that there are none, since two US destroyers is said to have sailed thru, without being blown up?
The Iranians say they did NOT sail through, at least not in the normal shipping channels:

Source:

OK, so we don’t know which route they followed, how well equipped these two destroyers are to detect mines (other then by blown up, or not being blown up)

Are any of this going to convince shipowners, charterers, insurers and Masters that is now safe to resume normal traffic, following the normal shipping routes in and out of the gulf?

If the present negotiations in Islamabad should result in a peace deal, or should the Iranian say; “OK, we bluffed, there are no mines”, who would take their word for it?
Or for that matter, who would believe that a “peace deal” will last long enough to actually CONFIRM whether there ARE any mines, or NOT.
That will take an international fleet of minesweepers, not the words of any of the direct party to the conflict.

This?:

Iran denies US destroyers sailed through Strait of Hormuzpublished at 22:44

22:44

Iran has denied a US claim that two US Nay destroyers have sailed through the Strait of Hormuz.

“The claim by the CENTCOM commander regarding American vessels approaching and entering the Strait of Hormuz is firmly denied,” Iran’s Fars news agency is reporting a spokesperson for the armed forces headquarters as saying.

“The initiative for the passage of any vessel lies with the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

Earlier today, Centcom posted a message on X saying US forces had begun “setting conditions for clearing mines in the Strait of Hormuz” and that two vessels “transited the Strait of Hormuz… as part of a broader mission to ensure the strait is fully clear of sea mines”.

Who do you believe Bugge?

I do understand a large degree of skepticism when it comes out of the mouth of the orange man or his thick as f££k deputy, or indeed that smarmy hegsgerh.

I do hate to admit it but I believe them more than the savages

In Sal’s podcast a US destroyer was shown displaying AIS data inside the Gulf. There were no US naval assets in the Gulf after February 28 so it must have transited very recently.

This from the US Navy Institute.

I was interested to hear the conversation between USN destroyer and Iranian authority (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy) warning the ships, and a last warning.

USN reply was textbook stuff about international rights etc. What he could have said but didn’t was, attack my ship and you’ll be bombed back to the dark ages.

Indeed it could be their last warning . .

Let me help you. “ if you do not evacuate this area immediately then we will put FATWA on you. !!! Allahu Akbar (الله أكبر)

Rem: when i wanted to check spelling of the allahu thing in google , this google thing was mulling over for 5 minutes before showing the result. A minute later my internet connection was shut down for another few minutes . Coincidence?

Surely this magic word printed in internet is putting all servers attached to Mossad, CIA or other spooks on red/high allert .
Think i need to leave the house for an hr or two not to witness Mr.Tomahawk paing me a visit.

Another thing. The state of war exists btw two countries and one country sends to other adjacent waters a war ship which is locked, cocked, and ready to rock.

I can not understand how “ inniocent passage or freedom of navigation “ fits in such a scenario. Think it is pure nonsense using such sophisticated |UNCLOS terminology in the present scenario what “ attack my ship and you’ll be bombed back to the dark ages “ wording confirms.

I didn’t mention “innocent passage”. Warships engaged in warfare don’t qualify anyway. Warships not engaged in warfare do have rights of innocent passage.

The US warships were testing the regime to see what happened. It is significant that they weren’t attacked indicating that the implied threat of severe US retaliation had the desired effect or alternatively, that Iran lacked the wherewithal to respond militarily.

The whole thing stinks of something. If US destroyers sailed through Hormuz there would be photos from both sides, where are they? If the US wanted to show the world that Orange man’s minions made the passage why didn’t those ships show AIS identification for the world to see and remove all doubt about minion power and bravery to prove Iranian weakness?

Why hasn’t the Navy shown the route they took? Was there air cover? Where’s the aerial photos showing the flags and contested background? Unless this is a smoke and mirrors thing it certainly is a lousy job of propaganda and chest pounding.

You seem disappointed that President Trump hasn’t personally confided in you what the actual war plans are. Perhaps you should wait and see. I am.

What fun! (…and what could possibly go wrong with this?)

Not surprising. He is incompetent/senile and surrounded by ignorant sycophants. Did he post this before or after attending the UFC fight in Miami with his Sec. of State?
