HGIM Pay Cuts

All of the boats that Jackson Offshore are building already have term contracts. I know they have atleast 1 with Shell.

Actually, all of the crew boats have term work with Chevron, the first 2 OSV’s are going to Chevron and the following 2 OSV’s are going to BP. They have been audited by Shell but haven’t received any contracts yet but it’s just a matter of time. I used to work with one of the shoreside employees and I ran into him the other day. He said how much nicer these boats were than the Rigdon (now Gulfmark) boats were. Of course they’re much bigger as well.

well, Coming from you, it sounds like there is some truth to this story one way or another.

Of course they are nicer you are comparing a brand new boat to 11 year old boats.

Guess I should have clarified my statement with more detail. What I meant is these boats were designed from day one to have better finishings and creature comforts than the Rigdon boats. The Rigdon boats had no contracts before construction commenced so they were a little more basic. They did however secure contracts during construction or shortly after delivery.

I know they are unbelievably loud. I can hear the Breeze in my stateroom at idle and they are not tied up next to us.

No Pay Cuts, Just cut back on Travel,
Last quarter raise was not given and travel was cut in half.
Yeah but they have a new NASCAR sponsorship. That’s only 15 or 20 million a year. Sounds like a madman is running the show over there.

To all talking about the pay cuts of this company and that company, believe all my saltwater brothers and sisters it really sucks ass. But just be lucky you got what you got. It could be as bad as 1 old boy I know chief engineer only makes 400 a day, and just took a 50% pay cut. And now they are talking a 21 and 21 on top of that.

CCapt. you are my freind, that said if you didn’t live in a state that thinks pot should be able to be paid for with welfare your 3/2 2000o sq. foot home might not cost 350k
I can barely imagine what a $500K house in South LA would be like? Likely more posh than Mr. Gary’s mansion! Can y’all say “Beverly Squidbillies”?

btw…here’s a trivial question for all you unwashed boobs…where did the word “posh” get derived from? It is maritime related.
No 200 a day, if your boat is on contract, 10% cut, if not on contract, 15% cut
