Has 4chan ID'd the Boston Bombing Suspect(s)?
Police state 2013!!!
What amazes me, is that when this was all over, people cheered and applauded these guys even though it was a homeowner who found the suspect. I mean, I was glad he was found as much as anyone but looking at the photos and hearing about the warrantless house-to-house searches did not give me a warm and fuzzy.

Why cling to the Second Amendment if you aren’t going to equally honor the Fourth?

For all we knew we were at war. I didn’t believe these two jerk-offs were alone. I thought there were more jerk-offs, more bombs in place, and I’ll tell you something, bombs were being tossed in the middle of the night, gun fire exchanged in abundance. If I was living there I’d be most pleased to have this show of force on my street. That’s just how I roll and I am not a frightened man. War is war!

My relatives living in the area are not bitch’en about this show of force, nor am I.

That’s fine. I have lived and worked in the area myself, twice in fact. I drydocked two ships there when a Port Engineer.

However, it is quite eye-opening to see an entire city shut down. Even New York City, where I originate, did not do this post-9/11.

Please forgive my concern.

They were probably connected to others, I don’t doubt that either. I’m sure more will be learned in the weeks to come from the guy they have alive in a hospital bed.

I gave one half of my adult life to the US Navy and like you, lived through the Cold War. I never imagined we would allow fear to paralyze a major city in this manner.

I have an uncle, still living, also a native New Yorker, who fought the Chinese and North Koreans at the Chosin Reservoir. He was a Marine.

I sent a son to Iraq. He returned in one piece, thankfully.

Have we surrendered to fear, friend?

Because you and I both know that the jihadi assholes are watching, and laughing. And planning the next one.

I hope you understand.

You are forgiven.
Kindly excuse me now, family is gathering, sitting on a robust cold back porch. We are a tuff bunch.
Catch’ya later ~

We are. And I don’t have grandkids, yet.

Sometimes I want to say to my boys, why would you want to bring kids into the world today? But I hold my tongue.

More later. I have that warm glow from the tempranillo.

Cat, we are all friends here.

Back at’cha, my Friend ~

The way things went down, if you heard it unfold live, explains why things happened the way they did. I love my guns and my rights but given the circumstances it’s what had to happen. Close to home for me and even closer to family.

The rolling hardware is well over the top though.

I just hope everyone who cheered and praised the victory don’t forget that we need to remain vigilant and tough on these types.

Hint is once the identity came out and that one had been previously under FBI suspicion, their apartment was searched to allegedly find materials, bombs were thrown out car windows, cops were shot at they weren’t fu^%#ng around.

Personally I don’t much care to see armored vehicles and police going from door to door in swat gear in any American city. I think the concern is " the new norm". Still, if I were a cop tasked with locating these scums after they detonated nothing short of claymore mines, shot a cop, and tossed pipe bombs during a shoot out I’d want some protection too. If the DHS decides this is the norm in the USA for general patrolling and security then I would have a problem with it for sure. In this case I think it was warranted in my view, but only temporary. Knowing something about the government I know when things are turned on its often hard to turn them off again… Woe to us as a nation if we allow a police state to be formed and exist on a continual basis without warrant. . ( and is one reason I am a staunch 2nd amendment supporter).

What busts my fanny is that we gave this scum sanctuary and the ability to live life to its fullest. They repaid us by death and destruction.
There is an very important point to make. We must not judge others in the same light. Their Uncle spoke with great clarity, mentioned they should surrender and get on their knees and beg forgiveness. He also mentioned they are "losers."
BTW, where did the older bother get his finances? I haven’t found any indication he was working. Why the hell wasn’t the FBI watching this jerk-off? He made a six month trip to the Russian Federation plus the Russian government informed us he might be planning something. Here is where our government dropped the ball - big time.

I don’t think it’s time to play the blame game yet.

A cursory review of suspect #1 profile did not raise any flags at the time. The fact he visited Russia to spend time with family seems legit.
The FBI gets a zillion ‘tips’ every year. To put each tip under a magnifying glass exceeds reasonable resources of Law enforcement.

I hope suspect #2 recovers adequately enough to give some answers.

Not blaming anyone - but I find it more odd that suspect #2 was hiding in plain sight 4 blocks from the get away car yet eluded the largest dragnet in memory.

I heard he got his citizenship then they told him how much his share of the debt is?

By jingo, you are on to something.

Strange things happen.

Without a doubt these brothers were planning more death and destruction. They obviously had more pressure cookers to keep hands busy.

He was investigated, but in accordance with the laws after finding nothing they eventually had to give up. If people don’t like that answer then they don’t like the fact that the FBI chose to respect the constitution.
