Harvey Gulf Salary vs Chouest salary vs HOS

I hold a 1600/ 3000ITC Master Oceans license. I heard that Harvey pays 850/ day for third captain? Can anybody confirm?
I am debating on going to work for Chouest or Harvey or HOS.
Does anybody know what the companies are paying for dayrate?

You will need to get your DP unlimited and your 6000gt Itc to get top entry level numbers.

What about 13th captain? Just curious; searching yielded no results.

This wage shit gets old. Just clogging my feed. Uhh venting.

725/day for "3rd Captain"?? And that's lagging behind? Hmmmm, that's still above most tug captains and engineers in the NE.....with pilotage and a shitload of experience. The while 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th captain thing is funny. How many masters are on board at any given time. Who is the boss? If there's more than one captain....who is in charge? I'd be happy with fu@#ng $500.00/day!! Wow, this DP GOM ITC OMSA HOS ECO HGIM world is very interesting.

Why not come down and give it a go.

Just one Master, and he is the “boss”, but plenty of other licensed Captains on board making a lot more than Tug Captains in the NE with a shitload of experience…from the sounds of it.

I’m making arrangements now. Looking forward to taking the plunge.

Good luck. bro … land of opportunity down here.

I should have taken a different career path.
Wonder if I could cook all the great fried comfort food and still keep everyone healthy, slim and trim.
Could I get First Captain of the Galley and $800.00 a day?
Probably not. Guess heartfelt, Thank You, will have to do.
I know, I know… Head Chef on a private yacht.
I prefer to work for a hard working crew better than full grown spoiled brats.
Remember to tell your cook when you like the meal.

Captains with 3000itc and DP make $800 a day at HGIM. Masters make $825. 6000itc vessels make more. $25 a day bump coming Sept. 15th.

LOL, on my first cup of coffee. Just noticed johndoe has 4 posts and is “deciding” which company he’s going to “choose” to work for.

Why didn’t I think of doing it that way?

You was too busy eating Chicken.

Haha, your ears must’ve been burning. Was talking about Africa chicken today.

Thats funny I don’t care who you are. Oddly enough I miss Africa but certainly not those draconian hitches.

Clogging your feed with other crap. Other than the salary portion of posts on here it’s all been BS. I would much rather hear about rumors than about “how to get into the gulf industry” or my personal favorite " I am too dumb to do my own research on how to upgrade so I will ask everyone else my stupid questions that has been answered on here a gajillion times". Just saying.

Let it out man, let it out! Lol

Cooks at ECO are at 300. Everyone is hoping for a bump soon for the enlisted ranks but not complaining. I love my job as well as the folks I work with and for. Can't complain about in this industry and especially this employer as the future are yours to capture. Free training good beni's and a family orients company where you can talk to the person that signs your check means a lot more to me than a couple more .
