We have minted 8 new members of the Order of the Emerald Shellback, as I write this located adjacent to the bouy at the intersection of the equator and GMT.
Now, does anybody know where I can find a blank certificate before Sunday’s arrival in Luanda?

Didn’t quite know whether or not to believe that there is a buoy at the intersection of the equater and the prime meridian.
But as of today I know it for a fact! Crossed over this morning
I got caught without on a trip to Brazil a couple of years ago, I just made my own with a “certificate” template from my word processing program and some clip art I snagged off the web. The Pollywogs seemed quite happy with them.
Hello, second post to the forum. I was just thinking about my Emerald Shellback. I was wondering if it was good to have in the Merchant fleet… I got mine in the marine corps on our way to Congo… a long long time ago. I figure ill put the card in with my credentials just in case I ever make the crossing again. Does the merchant fleet do the traditional ceremony? I know we did ours…effin flight deck party of all time! Here is a pic of my card. I also have a big artsy certificate.
