Greetings from Norway

Yes Mr Bug.

I am very well aware of the chief vikings heritage.

He is the main striker for my team.

And I watched his father many many times.

Yes I know he was born in England.

But who would you want. Kane or Harland?

I hate to admit it as Kane played for our bogey team but apart from Aguero , I would choose Kane over any striker we have ever deployed.

Including Shaun Goater :face_savoring_food:

Hope it’s a good game

Not unusual. See e.g. Nico and Inaki Williams (Spain/Ghana), Brahim Diaz and Aschraf Hakimi (Morocco/Spain). Probably quite a few others.

Are you watching Bugge?

I would hazard a guess that the only Norwegians not watching the game wish they were. There is quite a lot of people cheering Norway on here including those that regard themselves as influencers.

WTF

Harland off

:frowning_face_with_open_mouth::frowning_face_with_open_mouth:

Sorry you are svrewed

1066 but it was Stamford Bridge rather than Hasting that came out on top.

Norway did well to go so deep into the competition.

“Some say” they were cheated out of a win by an overhead wire and VAR.
Never mind, celebrations went on way into the not so dark night and early morning. The King didn’t get much sleep last night:

PS: At least he didn’t call the FIFA boss to try to overturn the referee’s “mistakes”.

If they had overturned the refs bad decisions by my reckoning the final score would have been 3-0

:winking_face_with_tongue:

Was a good game though.

Glad that Belgium delivered some Karma

Should have been 3 - 0, but for Norway, if not for luck and VAR::grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Just like the USA you have to accept that you were beaten by a better side.

You have 2 world class players.

We have 22

That’s why we are going to give the best team in the world right now a run for thier money in the final.

Truthfully can’t see anyone beating France.

But you never know

You mean you only know the name of 2 present Norwegian players of world class?
Haaland and Ødegård may be the Norwegian players best known in England, since they play in top Premier League clubs, but they are not the only ones of world class.
What about the keeper, Ørjan Nyland, or Alexander Sørloth, Antonio Nusa. or Oscar Bobb to name a few:

Is there somewhere were you can’t “RO!!”?

Even here:

And here:

Los vikingos? Real Madrid has been called that long before the current world cup.

I got curious why they are/were called “Los Vikingos”.
I googled it. I found two plausible explanations, one in Norwegian and one in Spanish.

Both appears to agree that origin goes back to 1960:

#1 Spills the shot that led to England’s winner

#2 Correct I had not heard of him before this tournament.

#3 did not pass to Haarland when it was a nailed on goal if he had.

#4 Transferred from Manchester City to Fulham this year

Hardly world class IMHO
